My Right Of Reply is a social news site - of sorts. Strongly oriented on the Australian media our primary purpose is to explore the many sides to stories in the media and to provide a place for people to share and discuss topics relating to the news.
Most of us agree that there are always at least two sides to every story; unfortunately, the media don’t always publish both of them. The use of “comments” made by one party is often taken out of context in order to fit the story, or “grabs” that when not seen in the context of the whole interview can misrepresent one party, is unfortunately common practice in less reputable publications and TV/Radio current affairs and news programs. While the more reputable ones sometimes simply get it wrong.
